Our students’ success is the measure of our success, and at Pioneer Technology Center, we want you to be successful! Enrolling in courses which are appropriate to your interest and aptitudes is a very important step on the road to your success.
Assessment
Assessment testing is given the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month beginning at 8:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. (Evening Assessment is the 1st Monday of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m. by appointment only.)
Testing Instruments Used:The PTC Assessment Center uses a variety of tools to evaluate an individual's current level. These tools include: Compass, WorkKeys, and the Oklahoma Career Information System (OKCIS). PTC also accepts ACT Scores if taken within the last three years.
Areas of Assessment: Students are assessed in the subject areas of Reading, Mathematics, and Writing/Language Skills. An interest inventory is also included in the assessment process.
The counselor will help decide which of these you will need to take.
Each student will have a PTC counselor who will review the assessment results with them. The counselor will guide the student into a program that best suits his/her interest and ability.
