Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) was awarded its eighth Gold Star Award this past August at the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education Summer Conference. The Gold Star School Award, sponsored by the Oklahoma Association of Technology Centers (OATC), provides recognition to districts with exemplary programs that are designed to meet a broad spectrum of community needs.
PTC has met, and even exceeded, the rigorous standards required for the award in student retention, placement, quality program instruction, recruitment and guidance, assessment capabilities, and diverse business and industry training programs.
Dr. Major commented, "The Gold Star recognition is a challenge to attain. At Pioneer Tech we have been able to focus on our mission in ‘enhancing lives and securing futures’ and it just so happens that focus results in gold star performance. It is truly reassuring to see the solid commitment Pioneer Tech continues to make to our students, clients, and community."
Gold Star School recognition is for one year and the application must be re-submitted each year.
